Residence Permit under the IRS

The acquisition of a villa under the IRS, shall entitle the owner of the IRS property and his/her spouse and dependants to residency in Mauritius.

A residence permit shall remain in force, until such time as the beneficial owner chooses to dispose of the immovable property under the IRS scheme. In the recently approved 2008 budget, it was also ratified that owners of IRS properties can also apply for an occupation permit, permitting the owner to work in Mauritius.
